ONTRACK

conscious DJ school

October 1 until 4

OnTrack is a conscious DJ school that approaches DJing as a form of self-expression. Blending technical mastery, deep listening, mentorship, wellness, and community, we help artists discover their unique voice, develop confidence behind the decks, and build a meaningful relationship with music. Our intention is not simply to teach people how to DJ, but to help them express who they are through sound and the equipment.

during 4 days we will create a multi-layered space to learn, ground, reset and express.

all levels of experience are welcome

  • Kevin de Roos is an electronic music artist, DJ, and creative director whose life has been shaped by sound for nearly two decades. His journey reflects a deep immersion in music • not only as an art form, but as a language for identity, movement, and connection.

His path began early. Drawn to music production at a young age, Kevin studied music synthesis and theory, earning his Ableton certification and spending countless hours learning the architecture behind sound. By the age of 14–15, after years of practicing at home in Amsterdam, he played his first DJ gig at a small local bar called Que-Bar • an early moment that quietly set everything in motion.

From there, his relationship with music expanded quickly and organically. He immersed himself in the electronic music scene, meeting the right people, refining his taste, and developing a sound driven by curiosity rather than convention. Always drawn to what was emerging rather than what was already established, Kevin became known for pushing boundaries, sensing new movements, and giving space to what wanted to come next.Early in his career, he co-created Deep house Amsterdam, a platform that grew into a respected voice within the scene and later evolved into what is now DHA Academy. Through this work, he wrote extensively about music, culture, and artists • laying an early foundation for education, storytelling, and thoughtful curation.

This naturally led him into the role of A&R Manager at Armada Music, one of the world’s most influential independent electronic music labels. Over several years, Kevin ran multiple record labels, signed emerging and established artists, and gained a deep understanding of the industry from the inside out • recording, publishing, contracts, artist development, management, and the long-term evolution of sound. This period shaped his perspective profoundly, allowing him to see music not just creatively, but structurally, strategically, and humanly.

Alongside his work behind the scenes, Kevin continuously remained active as a DJ and event producer • curating nights, building communities, and weaving together multiple genres within the electronic spectrum. For him, DJing was never just performance; it was always about creating a shared experience.

After several years in the European scene, Kevin relocated to New York City, where he became the Music Director of Gospel, now one of the city’s most recognized music venues. Over the years, Kevin shaped the club’s sonic identity, produced events, curated lineups, and held weekly residencies. He worked closely with both emerging and established artists, learning intimately what it takes for talent to mature, for sound to crystallize, and for artists to step into their own voice with confidence and integrity.

Parallel to his professional journey, Kevin’s inner path deepened. His relationship with sound became increasingly spiritual • rooted in authenticity, self-inquiry, and resonance. Music evolved from something he created into something he listened to more carefully: within himself, within others, and within the spaces he held.

Today, Kevin stands at a point of integration. With years of experience across creation, curation, business, and community, he now focuses on guiding and facilitating artists from a place of honesty, health, and self-leadership. His approach moves away from trend-driven pressure and toward clarity—helping artists develop their own sound, identity, and craft, using DJing not as an escape or performance mask, but as a true instrument of expression.
